Thousands of Tommy Robinson supporters gathered outside Downing St yesterday to express their anger and disgust over his arrest.

Mr Robinson was arrested on Friday outside Leeds Crown Court.

A reporting restriction was quickly put in place, limiting the medias ability to report on his case and the outcome.

Within 24 hours, thousands of people gathered in Whitehall, some climbing the fence outside Downing St (see below).

Chants of “Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy Robinson” were almost certainly heard inside No.10.

Lord Pearson today wrote to Sajid Javid, warning him over the treatment and safety of Mr Robinson while in Police custody.

He said: “if Tommy is murdered or injured in prison he and others will mount a private prosecution against Mr Javid as an accessory, or for misconduct in public office.”

I think the government has underestimated just how many supporters Mr Robinson has, the next few days and weeks are set to be very interesting.
